Program Highlights

more program details...Infants are given daily opportunities for visual, auditory, and sensory stimulation and safe exploration.Toddlers and Preschoolers are given daily opportunities for sensory development, thinking skills, small & large muscle development, language development, social/emotional development and development of self-help skills.Kids will have fun learning: the Alphabet, Numbers, Shapes, Colors, Phonics, beginners Reading, beginners Math and other Cognitive Skills.

Infant activities include: cuddling, rocking, circle time, story time, exploring age appropriate toys, and opportunities for reaching, grasping, pulling up, and crawling.

Toddler activities include: playing with building blocks and stacking toys, simple puzzles, imaginary play, picture books, age appropriate crafts, and active play.

Preschooler activities include: crafts, skill building games, framed puzzles, blocks, dramatic or imaginary play, simple board games, storybooks, reading and writing opportunities.

As a former CPS worker and Parent Educator, I am very picky on where and with whom my daughter stays. I wanted to make sure it was quality, licensed, and professional. She is slow to warm up to new people and new situations so I couldn't just drop her off anywhere. We visited a few places all over Round Rock, Pflugerville and North Austin and decided on A+ Learning Center. My little girl really liked that it was a home child care. She met with the director and was shy at first but then after a few minutes she was acting like the center was her second home. I really like that! She's been there ever since we did that initial visit and that put my mind at ease that we found the place for her to thrive. My girl was 3 yrs at the time she enrolled and now she is 4 yrs old...she's been at this child care for months with no complaints. The center is consistently clean! professional, and caring. I am highly pleased.Even after only a few months I can see how my child is learning so much at this preschool and she will be more than ready for Kindergarten and First Grade.I get feedback on my child every day and they send home information through a home/school folder and check in with me to tell me how she is doing and some of the major events of the day. I like the frequent communication and it helps with the transitions. I recommend this child care especially if you live in North Austin, Pflugerville or South Round Rock. When she did enter kinder, she was way ahead of her class as far as reading, math and writing is concerned. She was able to do first-grade level assignments, which her teacher supplemented for her so that she wouldn't get bored. This is due to the excellent learning program that was administered at the Learning Center. The director provided an excellent balance of play and learning. The Center also went on field trips such as the Austin Zoo and Inner Space Cavern, which is not often done with home-based care.The environment was always very clean and safe. Each child was treated as an extension of the director's family. I never had to worry about whether or not my daughter was ok and well taken care of. On many occasions, it was a struggle to get her out of the door when I came to pick her up.
